1979 - 2016

JACOB TRUMAN Loving son, brother, father, uncle, Jacob Micah Truman, of Las Vegas, was taken suddenly and tragically from our lives Nov. 15, 2016. He was born Nov. 5, 1979, in Las Vegas, and graduated from Bonanza High School in 1997. He served an honorable tour in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2000-2004 and was deployed during the onset of the "Shock and Awe" Iraqi War. Jacob worked at Las Vegas Paving as an operator for the asphalt crew. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Stucki Truman of Washington, Utah; and his grandfather, Berry M. Thompson of Tallahassee, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Sara Conner Truman, and her son, Tyler Conner; his son, Micah Truman; his mother, Melissa Schwinden Truman, who is currently deployed in Okinawa, Japan; grandfather, James Truman; grandmother, Carol Ivie Thompson; parents, Ken and June Thompson Truman; brothers and their families, Jonathan and Leslie, and their children, Taylor, Makenna, Nicholas, Bradlee, Baylee, and Dora, Jared and Stacie, and their children, Madison, Dillon and Camdon, Jesse and Chantel, and their children, Alison and Aubrey; sister, Rachel and Adam Van Orman, and their children, Piper, Archer and Ryan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins scattered all around the country. They will all miss him terribly. Gone but not forgotten. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, with service following at 11 a.m., both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6100 Alta Drive.
