Stacey & Family,
I wish we were closer so I could give you a hug, but know you're in my thoughts. My mom passes her sympathy on as well.

Although I haven't seen Janet in many years, she was in my thoughts recently. I was recalling growing up on Anderson Pkwy and time with Janet naturally came to mind. We spent summer days riding bikes, dressing Barbie dolls, walking to the Colony for shopping or a movie, and playing jacks on our front porches. (I always liked Janet's porch best because it was painted and smoother than mine.) I remember playing cards and having sleepovers in Janet's big knotty pine bedroom. In high school we drifted apart, but our lives took similar paths at UT--joining sororities, becoming teachers, even marrying men named Bob. Our mothers talked frequently, so I heard when Stacey and Scott were born and about the move to Findlay, but when my mother died in 1981, I lost that contact with Janet's life. Despite being out of touch for so long, I still think of Janet as one of my best childhood friends. I have so many happy memories of those years, and my heart goes out to your family. You have my deepest sympathy.
