Jerry Munno was my father-in-law for the past 17 years and it is still so hard to believe that he is no longer with us. He was always so good to me...treated me like I was his own daughter. One of the qualities I love most about my husband, Tony is that he is such a gentleman and it is very evident that he learned that from his father. Jerry was such a kind and fair man. He took great pride in his family. In spite of the geographical distance between us, he made it very clear that he was only a phone call away. He called every Saturday and Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. (And if it was 10:02, Tony would be calling him.) He always called to check up on our family, maybe share a joke or two and usually talk a little business with his son. He loved hearing about Tony's day to day accomplishments and challenges in his career and was always eager to offer his perspective and advice when needed. (I enjoyed overhearing these weekly chats between father and son. They had such a mutual respect, love and admiration for each other.)

Although Jerry was very proud of our family, he also worried a lot. So, a lot of times when Tony was travelling, Jerry would call me to see that I was safe, (being home alone,) and to hear about our boys, and to get the "real updates" on Tony's health and stress levels as they related to his demanding career and extensive travels. He knew Tony never wanted to make him worry, but he always trusted me to level with him. That meant a lot to me!

Now, when the weekends are here and 10AM rolls around, the calls don't come and it is difficult to see the sadness in my husband's face. Jerry will always be missed but I am certainly thankful for how he touched my life and the good times we had with him!

Rest in peace, Pops! We miss you.

Love, Amy

Thanks to all of the familly, friends and co-workers for your sympathy. My father went to fast for any of us to express the feelings we had for him. He appreciated any support he was given in such a short time.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Jerry (JJM) my friend and mentor. I worked with Jerry a number of years at Republic/LTV Steel and enjoyed every minute of it. We worked hard and played just as hard! I am sorry I didn't get to see him before his passing.

Dad,

It's been several weeks since you've left us and the empty place in my heart is persistent. I miss our phone calls and your advice, and most of all I miss hearing your voice.

I constantly look at the picture of you and mom on my mantel and talk to you as if you can hear me, I hope that you can. You are truly missed and I will think of you constantly. You taught me many things throughout life and your guidance helped me become a good person, a good husband, and a good father; that's all any father can hope for.

I love and miss you,

Tony

Dear Shelly and Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Jerry. He was like a Father to me for many years.
I knew him to be a wonderful provider a good husband and such a hard working intelligent man.
A Father who loved his children and spoiled his grandchildren in the way grandparents do.
I know that your loss is inmeasurable and he can't be replaced, but in time your hearts will heal and you'll find the strength to carry on- and just keep remembering all the good times.

With Deepest Sympathy,
Jimmy

My dad. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved life. He never sat still long enough for it to pass him by. You never heard him once complain about what he could of had or done. He never had regrets. He lived life to the fullest and would want the same for all of us. One of his favorite songs, done by Frank Sinatra, of course was 'My Way'. He did it 'HIS' way!! It's not goodbye Dad, see you later. Say 'hi' to Mom. I love you.

Papa,
When i think of you, I think of a strong, hard working, intelligent man. I feel so blessed that I was able to spend time with you while I was growing up. We had a special bond, because I was your first grandchild that I will hold dear to my heart forever. I have nothing but good memories of you. I know you are in heaven, with Nana, probably eating her spaghetti and betting on the horse races. ( I guess in heaven you will win every time! ) I know you and Nana will be looking down on us, watching as we get married and have children of our own one day. You will always be missed, but never forgotten and I will always be proud that you were my Grandfather. I love you and miss you Papa.
