Joann,
I miss you terribly. It is difficult to find the words to express the feeling I have about you, but I will try my best.
I love you. I miss you. I miss your laughter. I miss your free spirit. I miss your crazy ways of thinking. Your honesty. You were such a beautiful person, inside and out. You enriched the lives of everyone around you.

I remember the day when my Mother passed away. You held my hands and told me that you would be there in her place when ever I needed her, and you were.
Throughout the course of my life you have always been there. It's always given me comfort knowing you meant those words.

The other evening I was telling Jason that I wish I had a photograph of you when you were young. I was telling him that I don't have any photographs of you with my Mom, Don or Bill.
That evening a framed picture of the four of you, that you gave me for my birthday (I had forgotten about it) fell from a shelf recessed in the wall. It had been there for two years behind other frames.
I really do believe that was you. You always told me if there was a way, you would do so. And I never doubted it.
I miss you. Thank you for being with me in this journey. I know I will see you again.
I love you so much.
Melanie

Dearest Joann,
The world will be just a bit less bright without you and your sense of humor in it.
Your girls and dear family stood by you during these past months and they will be missing you each day as will many others, especially Milt.

We will all keep your in our hearts and think of you often with fond memories of sharing many happy occasions to which it was a pleasure to be invited to including of course, the Mojito parties.

Thanks for your friendship.

I want to thank everyone for all of their love and support over the past 13 plus months. My mom was very loved and I am at peace knowing that she died knowing how much we all loved her. I will miss her every day of my life. I am thankful and honored to have been her daughter. I could not have had a better mother or friend. I will miss her humor most of all. I hope we can all remember to still laugh at the things that she would have laughed at with us. She would love that. Thanks again to everyone, your love and kind words have been priceless to all of us.

Joann,
Words can't possibly begin to express how much I'm going to miss you. You told me often, especially recently that I've been more of a brother than brother-in-law to you, and you must have known that I've always felt the same. You are my sister and the love I have for you, and the memories we've shared will alway be a most important part of my life. From all the laughter and joy we've shared to the sorrow of losing Hal and Marie, as we continued forward in life blessed by finding two very special people, Milt and Arlene.

I'll always remember what you told me recently as you looked back over the past. You said "If I hadn't let the air out of Joe's tires, none of this would have happened". That would have been the worse tragedy of all. Not sharing a lifetime with you as my sister.

Until we meet again, I love you and miss you.

Love
Don

Joann,
It's been over 30 years since I've seen you, and sadly I won't see you again in this life. But, I want to let you know that even in the short time I got to spend with your daughter over the summer I was struck by the fierceness of her love for you. I thought about how lucky you both were that you had the kind of bond that will certainly stand the test of time. I wish for you a glorious journey in the next life.

Mrs. Orchow-
Some of my best memories from my high school days were spent with your entire family. I always felt so welcome in your beautiful home. Even though we don't see each other in person much anymore, Lori, Robin, Pam, and Lisa will always be very special friends to me. Both you and Dr. Orchow will be missed by so many. It was my honor to have known you both.

Rest in peace
