Joseph Funches Jr.

Joseph Bernard Funches, Jr., 75, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006. He was born Nov. 25, 1930, in Helena, Ark., and resided in Nevada for 15 years. Joseph was a retired manager for a medical company and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his sons, William Andrew, Paul Loren and Joseph Bernard, III. Joseph is survived by his wife, Freida "Geri" Funches; daughter, Fonda Funches of Las Vegas; sons, Terryl Funches, Shawn (Christine) Funches, both of Las Vegas, and Gerald Funches of San Bernardino, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, June 23,. Service will be at noon Saturday, June 24, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Interment will be at Palm Valley View Cemetery. Family requests memorial donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
