Kathy McAfee Obituary

KATHY MCAFEE Kathy McAfee, 69, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 10, 2011. She was born Sept. 8, 1942, in Bridgeport Terrace, Mo., and was a 39-year resident of Nevada. She was a proud and loving wife, mother and grandmother, a fabulous cook and avid pet lover. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and James Thompson. Kathy is survived by her husband, of 42 years, Clark McAfee; daughters, Heather McAfee and Shannon McAfee (Brian Mahoney); grandchildren, Paxton and Van McAfee-Mahoney; stepmother, Gerry Thompson; brothers, Jim (Gail) Thompson and Gary (Beth) Thompson; and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Rich) Masluk). Family and friends will be gathering on Saturday, Dec. 17, for a private celebration of Kathy's life. Donations can be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
