For clarification of my previous note: Kris did not serve in the military, my use of "soldier" was in reference to him being the good guy type of Spiritual warfare. -Rhonda

Sorry to read this about Kris " BIGFOOT" Hale as we used to call him. I knew Kris since Roy Martin Jr. High back in the early 60's. He was a great guy with a real redneck style since of humor, but that's what made Kris so funny. Over time ,we lost touch during the past 30 years or so, but we spoke on the phone a few times this past year. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace BIGFOOT!

To be a soldier in the Army is never an easy task, the work is hard and friendships seldom last. But for the few who can endure this, and serve their country well, a legacy is left and stories we will tell. I had this brother about 6 ft 4..known for a presence that filled any door. A soldier by choice, he answered the call to serve. One would know this man if ever they crossed his path, for he was the most brilliant in any class. Trustworthy, loyal, respectable, selfless, honorable, and integrity, cheerful, reverent, candid and tact are just a few words to describe how he'd act. A man of his word, who did not waiver like the wind. Kris walked the walk of a true American. It's said that Faith is daring the soul to go where the eyes cannot see. For a brother of such caliber i will definitely take this dare for me. That handsome man served his family, country and i'm sure still God very well. For now that's all of the real man i want to tell, Look our father gave us many emotions and the most important love and let me tell you i have had my share, from a brother that to none other could compare. We are given choice as to how to let go and tools to work through the granite wall between pain, sorrow and peace . A week ago i was hit with that shock an awe of knowing Heaven must've issued a stop loss. It sucks to hear a brother you love and admire moved on. From what i understand where he is now is beyond and above sweet. --- (i used to call him Abraham Lincoln, he called me sis)and now I'm one still hopin to again tag along and you should too cas the brother i got to know never got lost an knew the best way. I'm gonna be prayin for the men left here to try an take his place. You can be sure he trained them well, to carry on with the mission here, to give future generations more proud stories to privately cherish and or tell. ----Rhonda
