Larry Dismond Sr.

Larry Dismond Sr., 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004. He was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Harrisburg, Pa., and was a resident of Las Vegas for 14 years. Larry was a retired teacher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Community Mayors Association. Larry was a member of the St. James the Apostle Catholic Church and St. James the Apostle Catholic Church Choir. He was also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Larry is survived by his spouse, Yolaine Dismond; daughter, Kim Dismond of New York City; sons, Phillip Darbouze of Cherry Hill, N.J., Andre Dismond, Larry Dismond Jr. and Joshua Dismond, all of Las Vegas; brothers, Samuel Dismond Jr. of Flint, Mich. and Michael Dismond of Las Vegas; and sister Yvonne McLamb of Harrisburg, Pa. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, June 10, with services at 7:30 p.m., both at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 1920 Martin Luther King Blvd. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 11, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Donations can be made to the St. James the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund or Catholic Charities. Arrangements handled by Palm Mortuary-Eastern.
