Marilyn Resnick Obituary
At a statuesque 5'10" and with movie-star looks, Marilyn turned heads. She won the Miss Hollywood contest of 1956, and captured the Miss California talent prize with her singing, which also won her a role in the opening show at a new Las Vegas resort in 1957, the Tropicana. That's where Marilyn caught the eye of gambler Ash Resnick, who was 20 years her senior and a confirmed bachelor. They married in 1958. Marilyn was among the most involved women in Las Vegas. She sang the National Anthem at boxing matches, founded the Kidney Foundation of Nevada and volunteered for countless charities. In the 80s, she discovered country dancing and opened her own nightclub, Rockabilly's. But her greatest pleasure was spending time with her cats and her family -- daughters Dana and Lara, grandchildren Ashlyn, Beau, Chandler, Dane, Colby and Ryleigh, and great-grandsons, Atlas and Elijah. Marilyn joined Ash, Colby, and her parents on June 14. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the animal rescue organization of your choice.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021, 9 a.m., at Palm Eastern Mausoleum , 7600 S. Eastern Ave. , Celebration of Life to follow. Email [email protected] to RSVP,

I'm so sorry for your loss, girls. My mother is crestfallen. She always considered your mother a friend, as mom was on the kidney foundation board as treasurer back in the day. God bless her. RIP
