I met Marvin and Arlene many years ago when they were still living in New York. What a fun and gracious couple they were. Marvin and I shared a birthday; the June 8 part, not the same year though. We used to swap jokes and he's one of the funniest people you would ever hope to meet. Both he and Arlene made the world a happier place.

I first met Marvin and Arlene ten (+/-) years ago when they moved into their home a few houses away from mine. Despite Arlene's stroke, it was clear she had a wonderful sense of humor; and that Marvin was devoted to her. Soon afterward I invited them to my home. Not wanting to offend them by offering them cocktails - in case they did not drink - I decided that the most neutral choice would be to invite them for 'Tea'. I invited them for 4:00 PM. We quickly switched from tea to wine...talking and laughing until 11:00 PM that evening. It turned out that Marvin did the window dressing for many of the Bay Shore, Long Island, NY stores that I shopped at in my younger years. A bond was formed that night. We enjoyed getting together frequently in those early years.
Marvin was devastated when Arlene, his first love, and wife of over 60 years, passed away several years ago. I shall always remember them both most fondly.
