I had the pleasure of working with and becoming friends with Mike over the past 11 years. As time passed, we had a common interest football and basketball as my football team was the current dynasty to his past 49ers and his warriors were current dynasty to my past Celtics. Every Monday, we would review the weekend sporting events and debate whose team was better or Montana over Brady. The irony was when Mike was at my house my pup Brady loved him never left his side. It is no coincidence with animals they know good people. That was Mike - the nicest, hardest working and great person he was to everyone. The measure of a person is how they treat others and have they effected another person's life. Mike did both of those and he did it without trying that is what made him special to some many people.
Mike buddy - we will all miss you and each one of us will miss you in our own special way. Monday mornings will never be the same for me at the office and our hockey BBQ's will have a void without you there with us routing against the Knights if they are playing the Sharks
Rest easy my friend we will all have special place in our hearts for you
We won't forget you Mike
We will cry when we think about you or something reminds us of you, but rest assured as time passes we will all smile to know you called us your friend and that was a privilege for all of us.

In the later part of high school, Mike and I were inseparable. He came over to my house probably 4-5 days a week. There are a lot of things I will remember about Mike, but what I will remember most is the time we spent laughing together. This is partly because Mike had one of the most hilarious and heart-warming laughs everit was like a series of rapid-fire, high-pitched chuckles that made it impossible not to laugh or smile along with him. Sometimes he threw in a knee slap for good measure, which meant something was extra funny.
Mike and I used to laugh together all the time. We had a canon of movies, TV shows, and stand-up comedy routines (including Dumb and Dumber, Baseketball, There's Something About Mary, South Park, Family Guy, Denis Leary, Chris Rock, and Pablo Francisco, among others) that we watched and listened to over and overand when we weren't, we were quoting them back to each other. We could have entire conversations filled with nothing but South Park, Family Guy, and Denis Leary quotes.
After I graduated from high school, I decided to go back to the east coast for college. It was a hard decision leaving my friends, and I wanted to have a road trip as a kind of send off. Mike agreed to drive across the country with me, and in the summer of 1999 we drove from Las Vegas to Washington, D.C., to Raleigh, N.C., to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to Tallahassee, FL, and then to Baton Rouge, LA. We were both feeling a bit homesick, and so we drove straight from Baton Rouge to Las Vegas only stopping for gas. I just went back and calculated it, and we spent at least 90 hours and over 6,000 miles together in the car on that trip (not counting detours like when we got lost in Knoxville, TN). During that timethere was a lot of laughing.
In D.C., amidst the countless museums and monuments, we cut our sightseeing short and went to see the latest Austin Powers movie. Throughout that trip, I think we listened to an endless loop of stand-up from Denis Leary and Chris Rock, as well as a greatest hits CD of sports commentator Jim Rome.
Staying close over a distance of thousands of miles is hard. Over the years, Mike and I occasionally texted back and forth, and he continued to dominate my family's fantasy league for over 10 years. But that's no substitute for all the laughing we did together. I'm really going to miss that.

Mike,
I did not know you that well, but what I do know in the short time that my Dad and I have shared some office space at FEA is that you immediately made us feel at home. You offered us a helping hand whenever we needed one and you would stop whatever you were in the middle of to answer a question or help me with the binder machine or whatever else came along. You were so kind and my Dad enjoyed his conversations with you. I wish I had gotten the chance to know you better. Your friends and family were blessed to have had a person like you in their lives.
My prayers and thoughts are with your Family and Friends.

Mike, I miss you man. When we started hanging out I knew I appreciated having you in my life but I didn't realize the depth of what you meant to me until you were gone. I will always cherish the time I got to spend with you. Thanks for being the best example of a good person and a true friend. You will never be forgotten.

Mike, I've been thinking of you every day. Now, more than ever, do I appreciate the way you made me feel at ease, happy and appreciate the little things in life. I can't think of a bad memory with you. Everything had a way of being a-okay. I miss you buddy.
