Ok Wells Obituary

Ok Sun Wells passed away on October 22, 2020 after a courageous six-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on June 23, 1952 in Seoul, South Korea. At 18 years of age, Ok met the man she would share her life with, have two sons, and create a home. They celebrated 48 years of marriage with humor, love, and dedication to one another.

Ok was a force with a generous spirit and a trademark smile. She was always on the go but occasionally could be found enjoying Korean dramas on the couch. She loved driving muscle cars and would regularly get double takes as she zipped around town in her Pontiac GTO.

She started her career in 1984, working at multiple hotels on the Las Vegas Strip with her last position being VP of Player Development at Wynn/Encore. Ok had drive, ambition, and a natural ability to create genuine connections that set her apart. Colleagues readily share that Ok was a true legend in Las Vegas hospitality & gaming.

She is survived by her husband Ronald, her two sons and daughters-in-law Richard & Leticia and Loren & Milani, grandchildren, brother-in-law and partner, grand-doggies, and a much-loved parrot.

Services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020, 10:00 AM, at Palm Eastern Cemetary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV , Visitation starts at 8:30 AM. 89123,

My wife and I just learned about the passing of Ok. It gives us a very sad heart. Ok was the most gracious host. Her attention to detail and making sure all of our needs were met while staying at the Wynn was greatly appreciated. We will miss her. Our deepest sympathy to her husband and two sons.

My mother Elaine and OK became friends when she worked at the Hilton.

I found a pic of her and my Mom and called the Wynn Hotel to see if she still was still employed there.

I was very saddened to hear of her passing.

She was an amazing lady and always helped Mom and Dad whenever they visited.

We sadly just learned of OK´s passing. OK was our Casino host from the early days at Caesar´s Palace and we moved along with her to the Wynn. She truly made every single trip so special with her kind gestures and was always thoughtful, generous, professional and warm. A true pleasure to know her. We are so sorry for your loss. She will be missed, but fondly remembered for the woman of class that she always was. Sending our condolences.

Ok was our host at the Wynn and Encore since it's opening. She became a friend who always made our visits special and memorable. She made our 50th wedding anniversary so very special. Her last call to us was July 2020, simply to see how we were doing. So thoughtful. We will miss her sweet voice and beautiful smile.

My condolences to the Wells Family. Ok was my Casino Host since Wynn opened its Hotel. She was kind and charming. She would always come out to find me on every visit I made, sometimes several times a year. I introduced her to many of my family and friends, they loved her too! She was the reason we came back
To Wynn year after year. We will miss her terribly. Her loss is felt by so many she touched.

I am in shock hearing of Ok’s passing, and am so sorry I did not know before November 5th. My family and I have known Ok for close to 15 years. When my mom died of cancer a few years ago, Ok was among the first to send flowers. She has known my daughter since she was 7 yrs, and when she turned 21 a few years ago, Ok gave her a memorable Vegas weekend. When I was fighting cancer a year after my mom, Ok checked in often. The last email exchanges I had with Ok were a day before she died. We had just left Wynn after a week there, and she surprised us with an anniversary cake and a belated cake for me. We are so sorry for your loss. Her smile will be remembered always.

OK was one truly of a kind. A professional who had the largest heart and real love for her customers, her work family, and mostly her own family. My deepest condolences to her husband and sons. I'm so sad to hear the news of her passing, but I'm so grateful I was blessed enough to know her. She will be forever missed and forever loved.
