I was a patient of Rich´s in Sandy, UT for over 20 yrs. I went to high school with his daughter, Jill at Alta High in the `80´s. He was very gentle, but most importantly he was kind. My condolences to the Featherstone family.

Dr. Featherstone was the first dentist I was not afraid to let perform procedures on me. He was my dentist for the last 10 years. He was exceptional at dentistry, was one of the best, and gave his time to causes to help those less fortunate! He was a kind, wonderful, gentle spirit, and I will truly miss seeing him! He made going to the dentist easy for me to handle. I am so saddened to learn of his passing. I would like to send condolences to his family, friends, and staff. May he rest in peace!

I was a patient of Dr. Featherstone for several years; however, I was unable to continue to see him this past year due to my personal problems. I just discovered in my process to revisit his services that he passed away last March. He was the kindest dentist I ever had and his staff was equally wonderful. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing and would like to send my deepest condolences to his family and staff members.

I met Dr. Featherstone exactly one year ago and he was my first dentist who ever used the word, Yippie. He helped me with multiple complex dental procedures, including an extraction and two crowns. He laughed at my lame jokes, and we became good friends. I'm unspeakable sad to hear of his passing and I will miss him forever.
My deepest condolences to his family.
Love,
Michael Christiansen

Rich was my scout leader for many years and had a profound influence on me. He sacrificed countless weeknights and weekends to take us mountain biking. He taught me to love being outdoors, to seek adventure, and to respect others.

Life is an amazing blessing, made even better by friends. In that, Rich was the best. I'm deeply saddened by the passing of my good friend but forever grateful for the adventures, the memories, the experiences in scouting and so much more. A great neighbor and a man who cared about others, especially helping the youth. Talking late into the night around the campfire or while driving to a fishing spot are times I'll cherish. Many laughs were shared and his love and concern for his family was often expressed. The world needs good people and so the challenge to we who are left behind - honor Rich's memory by making life better for someone as he did for so many. Our sincere condolences to Rich's family and friends.

My condolences to the family of Dr Featherstone. I knew him for a short time in Sandy, UT when we were sort of neighbors in the LDS ward. I don't remember the details, but I think he was the Elder's Quorum President and I was maybe the secretary but I'm old enough that details are sketchy.
I lived in Las Vegas in the 2000's and knew he had an office there but I never had the need then.
He wa a good man, funny, well-spoken and v. smart.
My thoughts to all his family and friends.

Sorry to hear of Richard's passing. A friend sent me the obituary notice as my Father was also named Richard H. Featherstone - born in Ruston LA. in 1921. So we may be related thru the Featherstone name. Many Featherstone family members are spread out all over the USA. Prayers for your family at this time.
