Robert Gentry Obituary

ROBERT GENTRY Robert Edward Lee Gentry, 44, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007. Robert was a native Nevadan, born March 7, 1963, in Boulder City. He was married for 23 years to his wife, Kathy, and had two children, Amanda and Bobby. He was an avid sports fan and loved the New Orleans Saints. He was a competitive poker player who loved a challenge. He worked for many years in the gaming industry. He was a grateful member of AA and a very spiritual person. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Gentry of Henderson; and his father, Bennie Gentry of Gulfport, Miss. He was also preceded by his sister, Lucy Alires of Henderson; and Aunt June Morris of Gulfport, Miss. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Gentry; daughter, Amanda Cruse; son, Bobby Gentry; son-in-law, Chad Cruse; and his siblings, Luis Alires, Lorraine Asher, Patrick Alires, Dorothy Aragon, and Joseph Alires. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 26. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, both at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway. The family requests contributions be made to The Triangle Club (AA), 4600 S. Nellis Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89121, (702)435-0597.
