My first day living in Berwyn walking down the alley behind the Merrits. Jim Miller greeted me. He had a football in his hands & told me they had a football game coming up against the boys at ST. Francis of Rome and they needed a quarterback. I took his football and threw some passes to him, all right on the button. He came running back to me and said "I gotta tell "STELLA" we have a quarterback. I then asked why would a girl care about football game.
Jim then went on to talk about "S" like he was a Revered person with lotsa influence & respect. Jim advised that´s a guy on Cuyler Street. And Jim Miller had it right, BOB was our leader and made all our friends: Ray Atoweski,
Bob King, LADDy, Dan Mazaleani, Tony
"C", Artie "G", ETC. Bob made our group of friends as brothers & allowed us to
have a lifetime of memorable experiences only BOB could have done. "STELLA" Thank you for all you did for us. We´ll never forget you,
May you Rest in Peace.Love, PERK

To one of the last of the last original legends. I love you Mr. Stella. Our families were very close since Nikki and I were at St. Viators. You would do anything for anyone. You were loved by thousands. I know you and my father are together sitting at the table running things. I love you, I miss you. Rest In Peace. Love Gino DiMaria
