Rosanne Moss Obituary

ROSANNE MOSS Rosanne R. Moss passed away peacefully Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the age of 93, in Las Vegas. Rosanne will be lovingly remembered for her witty and joyful sense of humor, her intelligence, her beautiful smile, her love of life, her family, her garden and her animals, and the way she always kept her home warm and ready for family and friends during their marriage of more than 65 years. Rosanne was the loving wife of Hy Moss (deceased in 1997) with whom she owned and operated a shopping center in Las Vegas, several automobile agencies in Los Angeles and Palm Desert, Calif., and the Desert Paradise Hotel, in Palm Springs, Calif. Born June 2, 1917, in Cleveland, Rosanne was the daughter of Charles and Estelle (O'Brien) Meyer. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Walters; brothers, Charles "Buddy" Meyer, Norman Meyer (Lois), Bobby Meyer and Raymond Meyer, all of Cleveland. Rosanne is survived by her daughter, Nancy Bond of Anaheim, Calif.; adoring granddaughter, Marlena Bond of Los Angeles, son, David Moss of Portland, Ore., and Sandy and Patti Moss of Palm Desert; as well as many nieces and nephews; and countless numbers of friends. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, in the small chapel at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. Nancy Bond can be reached at (714) 956-9357, or [email protected].

Lynne and I will miss Great Aunt Rosanne. She was a very special lady and we are better people for having known her. I enjoyed the times we were able to visit her in Nevada and also the memories I have as a child of her visting Cleveland. I wish you and all the Meyer and Moss family peace and fond memories during this time.

Hello Nancy,
Robert and I have spent so many visits with Hy and Rosanne in the years gone by. They were always so warm and happy times. The stories they told of their lives together were so eventful and amazing.
Rosanne was a most attractive, elegant, refined, poised, humorous and fashionable person.
Rosanne was the epitome of a LADY.
Rosanne will always leave happy memories for us

As we get older it is getting more and more difficult to lose people who meant so much to us from our youth to adulthood. I am sorry about the passing of my Great Aunt Rosanne.
My memories of her and my Uncle Hy will always be with me. From my youth I became interested in animals because of all the animals that both my aunt and uncle had. From Rex the dog, to the peacocks and rabbits. In adulthood I will always remember Aunt Rosanne telling me what the future will hold for me by using her background and interest in Astrology. She was a very intelligtent woman that could converse on many subjects. She will be greatly missed and will always be in my memories.
Lots of love
