SANDRA BAXTER Obituary

SANDRA BAXTER It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Ruth Baxter, of Henderson, Feb. 4, 2017. She was born July 24, 1945, in Arkansas, to Glenn and Rae Schultz. She grew up and spent most of her life in Minnesota until moving to Henderson in 2001. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a true inspiration to those around her and a wonderful role model for her children and grandchildren. She lived her life with grace, dignity, class and a little bit of sass. She worked as a human resources specialist for District 833 schools in Minnesota, then for the City of Henderson. She was a supportive wife to "Mr. B," the "snake man," science teacher and swim coach. Sandra took joy in spending time with her husband holding hands, listening to 1960's oldies, traveling and shopping for the perfect piece of jewelry. She loved her home in Henderson and liked to sit in the sun and watch the jets go by or the lights of the valley come on. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends from both Nevada and Minnesota. She was the loving mommy to her Dachshunds, Sophie and Lucy. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her favorite doggie, Fannie. She is survived by husband, Chuck; brothers, Dennis (Carol) and Glen; children, Lisa (Jim), Kimberly (Paul) and Michael (Christina); and grandchildren, Eli Ripley, Angelia Joy Hoffman, Rebecka Turner (John), Autum Koenigs, Chase Baxter and Ambur Koenigs; along with many nieces and nephews. She was loved greatly and will be missed dearly by many. No services are scheduled. In lieu of services, flowers and cards, Sandra wished that donations be made to her favorite charities Human Society, ASPCA, and the American Cancer Society.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a hope for our love ones lost in death can be reassuring.
