I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Shocket. He introduced me to Macro and Micro Economics at Los Angeles Pierce College for two semesters in 1981. He taught me a new way to look and think about the way the world worked and inspired me to major in and graduate with a B.A. in his subject. I still have the text book he wrote for the class and I look forward to re-reading it now. I wish I had sought him out sooner to thank him and show my appreciation. May he rest in peace and God Bless his family.

Sol left a legacy that will endure forever and I am personally blessed for being able to be a beneficiary of that legacy. The Shockets will always hold a special place in my heart and my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Shocket family.
