My condolences,
I'm Aaron Seibert a retired USN Chief Corpsman. Podcaster "Combat Vet Vision", The PTSD Foundation of America and VP The Warrior Built Foundation.
I had the honor of meeting Stephen as I was in support of https://4cornershike.org/ Eli Smith's Journey to bring Awareness to Veteran PTSD. Stephen spent some time talking with us and even supported Eli's mission. It is always amazing to meet a fellow Corpsman, whom I cold talk with and relate. I'm thankful for his time and his history. "Strength and Honor Stephen"!

Always joking around while working. One day at the Mirage casino, where we both worked, my feet were killing me. Steve stepped up and offered me his loafers for my stilettos. Our shift manager strolled by right then, we were both laughing and trying not to. He asked Steve about his choice of footwear and kept on going.

So many memories, so many stories.
Camping at a Pine Valley UT it was so cold. We tried sleeping in the pop-up tent with an air mattress. My dog Muffin was protective of us and keeping guard. Skunks decided to visit the camp. Yes, of course he got sprayed right on the muzzle. It then began to rain. The tent air mattress and the three of us, inside, were sliding down the hill in the mud towards the creek.
We had to get into the car wet, stinking and freezing.
Laughing and crying, we tried to sleep. To tired to drive to a place to clean up. So checked into nearby KOA next morning and tried to clean the pup with tomato juice.

A poem I wrote about the day I met Steve. I gave him this poem for Christmas 2020.
ALL IT TOOK WAS A TOMATO!
All it took was a tomato he said "Hi my name is Steve". We struck up a great conversation; I didn´t want to leave. So we continued our talk as I bought the house next door, and from that moment on I never asked what for. As our relationship grew we became very close, he´s now my papa and I love him the most. From birthdays, gigs, laughter, troubles and pain, he´s there for me through everything with only love to gain. I love him so much that words cannot deny, all it took was a tomato and a simple Hi. All my love, Karen Rene´e

I met Steve and Ginger through my work but enjoyed visiting the Farmers Market for beautiful produce for my husband and I and always the very best customer service! Steve always had a smile on his face and made sure I found what I was looking for every time. One time I told him I was looking for green tomatoes but couldn't find them. He walked me over to the right place and introduced me to the farmer. Not only that, when he asked me how I was going to prepare them, I responded I was going to fry them. Steve's eyes lit up and with a smile he said you can add beer to the egg batter and fry them in oil with bread crumbs and seasoning. I couldn't wait to get home to make fried green tomatoes! They were absolutely delicious! Thank you, Steve for your kindness and though we will all miss you greatly, your legacy will live on in our hearts. Love and hugs to you, Ginger. May your memories comfort you today and always!

So sweet, but often a thorn in my side. We spent many days walking and talking in wild flower fields. Holding hands, talking, taking photos.
He liked to recite poetry, during our trips.

Steve always made me laugh or smile. He always had a joke or a crazy story. He refused to swim with Ginger and I in my pool because he said his legs were too skinny. I reminded him that flamingoes have skinny legs but are great swimmers. It didn't help, he still wouldn't take off his jeans! LOL He was quick to offer a helping hand, very generous and always a gentleman. I love and miss him and he will always hold a space in my heart!

Steve was the guy who got things done. Many times he soothed my tears of frustration bringing our ADA nonprofit Dream Catcher Balloon to Vegas to give free rides to Veterans in October 2020. He always found a way and we successfully completed our mission giving rides to our Veterans and seniors. Of course he was never alone in his work with our program as his lovely wife Ginger was always available. And who couldn´t help being friends with Steve. We are humbled and honored to be his "in lieu of" nonprofit organization. Thank you.

I remember buying some wonderful tomatoes at the Farmers market some of the best I've ever had. Steve told me that one of the major casinos had come to the farmers market and asked to buy all of the tomatoes that the farmers market could provide. He told me he refused to sell a large volume of tomatoes to a Las Vegas resort. Steve was concerned that the Farmers market would become dependent upon the revenue and then the resort would use its buying power to squeeze the Farmers market for a higher profit margin. He told me that once you become dependent upon their revenue the powerful resorts would use their influence to crush the small farmer. He told the resort buyer he would sell him no more than 5 lb of tomatoes. Enough to enjoy with his family. Not to be sold in a high-end restaurant. He understood a dimension of life that very few people can comprehend. It's not about money he surely would have made more money selling to the resort. Steve did not want to exist in this world with you only measure of a man's success with the size of his wallet. A great lesson he told me in a 5-minute conversation years ago. I remember like it was yesterday thank you Steve rest in peace.

I met Steve and his wife Ginger when my company I Hot Diggity Dog worked the farmers markets with them. Steve also volunteered to work with me every December when we fed the homeless hundreds of hot dogs. Steve became known as "my best hot dog slinger" as he would put together the hot dogs at record speed.
Steve was a kind man and had his act together in everything he did. He will be sorely missed.

Steve was an avid story teller. Poet, music author and loved life.
He fought with all he had to stay alive.
Please share a story he told you or one that you lived with him.
He is missed. He's dancing wit angels. He performed (danced) at the Hollywood Bowl in his youth. He played piano. He was a casino executive and trainer at many places in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Washington state.
A true gentleman. Helping elderly, children and anyone that needed it. Even stopping roadside to help push a car of check to see if everyone is ok.
