I am very sad about Thelma's passing. She was always Mrs. Howell to me. Since i was a little girl, Thelma was like a second mother to me. I would walk to Sue's house on the way to Rex Bell Elementary School, and later to take the bus to Cashman Junior High. Thelma would comb my hair. I have so many memories of growing up with Thelma and Chuck, from driving to Crescent, Oklahoma, to cleaning their house with Sue (I have no idea why i did that!!!) to going to Burger King for my very first Whopper and even to Taco Bell for the first time. She and I had a hilarious moment when she was driving me to my parent's house about 20 years ago and i had to use the bathroom RIGHT NOW. Thelma zoomed to the nearest fast food restaurant without blinking an eye. We laughed so hard. I visited Thelma at her nursing home whenever i came to town and though she didn't remember me, she smiled politely when i told her stories about growing up with her and Sue and Chuck. I will miss her but she will live in my heart and mind forever. Lynn Feldman Weiss

Dear Sue and family--I'm so sorry to read of your mother's passing. She was a wonderful woman. She was so gracious and poised and elegant. You all took such good care of her and dedicated your lives to her the way she dedicated her life to you.
