Vincenzo Paradiso Obituary
Vincenzo Paradiso, 66, of Henderson, became an angel Thursday, June 10, 2004. He was born Nov. 8, 1937, in Castellammare, Sicily. Arriving in Las Vegas, in 1962, Vincenzo Paradiso had the opportunity of a lifetime before him. Working as a cook at the "Leaning Tower of Pizza" and the "Pizza Den" was the beginning of a career which started his legacy as a Restaurateur. Opening his first business in 1970, in the Boulevard Market, Vincent's Deli and Homemade Pizza, led to Paradiso's Family Restaurant and finally, Vincenzo's Ristorante. Making your favorite plate of pasta or just sitting at your table as you dined, was his special trademark. The patrons who frequented his restaurants did not just come in for the good food alone, they became life long friends. From a young fisherman and sailor in his hometown in Sicily, he retired with his dreams of being a businessman. Family was also his dream with his wife Antonietta Santina, who worked with him side by side for over 35 years, he was her "hero." Adored by his children, Irene, Lisa, Jacqueline and Pino, they gave him his most precious gifts, his grandchildren, Corrado, Kristine, Laura, Gia, Santina and Baby Vincenzo. He was their "Nonno." He came alone as one man and leaves as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. Each role was honored and cherished by those who will always love him.
"For the Kingdom of God sent Angels whom brought him to His Glory, now he is our "Angel" to watch over us."
