William Damus Obituary

WILLIAM BENNETT DAMUS, age 66, died February 16, 2021 at his residence in Las Vegas. Bill was born in Seattle, WA and was an infant when his family bravely moved to the then dusty little town of Las Vegas, despite not knowing anyone and without previously secured employment. Bill was the youngest of three children, all who grew up in Las Vegas. His brother, John W. Damus predeceased him, as did his parents Walter Damus, Jr., a car dealer, casino manager and owner and Juneve Key Damus, a fashion model and motivational speaker. Bill is survived by his oldest brother, Charles M. Damus, a practicing attorney, his nephew, John C. Damus, both of Las Vegas, his twin cousins, Jim and Joan Frydenlund and his aunt, Flora Belle Key, all of Seattle. Bill was a graduate of Valley High School and attended UNLV. He was well traveled and had a colorful life, most of which was spent living in Las Vegas and Southern California, where he sold home spas. Retired, Bill loved cooking for his many friends and he will be greatly missed. Post Covid, his family plans on having a future ceremony to remember Bill. Services will be private.

I knew Bill as, we sold Spas together at Catalina spas, Factory Outlet store on beach blvd. 1998-2001.
He was quite the salesman that had a knack for selling spas. I have just found out of his passing as, my son "Joshua James Hanshew" age 3 passed away, about the same time as Bill. February 17 th 2021 at 12:25 am. Due to the timing Bill went first. Bill, please say hello to our son "Joshua James". 11/08/2017-02/17/2021. May God have mercy on their souls.

I worked with Famous Damus selling hot tubs in `86 when I was teenager. His high energy was infectious to everyone who knew him. I´m sad to see this now but happy for the memories I have of him.
