MONKS, BRUCE L., age 90, of Clinton Township passed away on August 22, 2014. He was born November 8, 1923 in Lansing, Mich. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Monks and the late Estelle Ura. Loving father of Mary Kathleen Johnston, Kevin, Patrice(Richard)Heinz, Michael(Marietta) and Denis (Cheri). Proud grandfather of 14; and great grandfather of four. Dearest brother of Janice Hays and the late Paul Monks. A former State Representative and Supervisor of Clinton Township, Mr. Monks retired from the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. He was a member of the MI Bar Association. He was an avid bridge player belonging to both the Fraser and Warren Seniors. Visitation Monday 3-9 p.m. with 7 p.m. Rosary at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Funeral Tuesday Instate 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul of Tarsus Church, 41300 Romeo Plank at Canal until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
