Jim was a true gentleman. I have known Mr. McCarthy since I was a little girl, helping Elsie clean the real estate office at D'Luge and Mrs. McCarthy from teaching at LCHS. Also, seeing Jim at Base Council and helping Jim with some construction issues. Always a pleasure to see and truly a wonderful person. Jim, you will be missed. Michele De Witte

Jim was a fun guy. We worked and rode(raced) together for a few years at the GM Tech. Center. Jim was always running late. He also spent time at my dads restaurant(Luigis). I have many fond memories of the time we did spend together. May he rest in peace.

My sweet Uncle Jim. Gentle and calm, he wore his heart where others could see it. I will always remember fondly his patience, warmth, and unconditional love. I wish him eternal rest and peace.

As a past tenant of Jim's at the N. River Rd. property, Jim was one of the most caring, warm and generous individuals I ever had the pleasure of knowing and being associated with. Nothing was ever too big of a problem or a challenge. Jim would work through it all and that is something I will always remember. May he now rest in peace and may the good Lord be with him for ever.
