I am so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. I decided to search when my email this morning was returned as undelivered.
I don't know why I wrote him, I just had to let him know that his input during my due-diligence resulted in my formation of CNG-One.com . I am saddened that I did not communicate with him earlier.
Rest peacefully my friend.

Joe and I hit it off immediately when he was my instructor many years ago at the GM Tech Center. What a character! We lost touch, but met up again at the 11 Mile boat launch. I found out he lived nearby, so I'd drop in on him once in a while. One time I rode my bike to his house. We had a nice visit and before I left, he insisted I drive his new Prius. I said I had no license on me, but he WOULD NOT take no for an answer! I HAD to drive it! Such a character...So sorry to find out about his passing. He was such a great guy. The world is a less fun place without him.

Dear Molly,
The loss of a spouse is all too familiar to me. I was so surprised and honored to have you guys, while on your honeymoon, spend time with me and Rose in San Diego. Very few people probably don't know the "day at the beach" story when you girls chit-chatted on the beach while me and Joe decidied to go for a swim. Within minutes after entering the water Joe disappeared. In a panic, being cought up in a terrible rip current, I repeatedly screamed his name as I desperately swam back to shore. Lifeguards saved Joe and he made me swear not to say anything to you girls who were unaware of what had just happened down the beach. Shortly after arriving back to our house I spilled the story to Rose because she was a nurse and Joe refused further medical help that day.
We all seemed to bond heavily that day. From then on Joe and I always made it a point to see each other when I came in to town.
My dear friend Joe, when hearing of your passing I once again in panic repeatedly screamed out your name not being able to see you...but I quickly calmed myself knowing that you are in the hands of many loving friende and family that have passed on to guide you once again.
To the entire Caporale family, my deepest condolences. Hold your heads high for raising such a respected and admired man as I do for him being my "compadre". Joe, you had class my friend.

I'm deeply saddened by Joe's passing. My heart goes out to Joe's family. I worked with Joe at the GM Training Center in Warren. We had coffee every morning before class would start. We also took our students to car shows and prime rib lunches. Joe was a terrific guy and words can't express what a loss with his passing. Thanks for all the great memories Joe. God Bless Joe and his family.

It's hard to believe that such a kind man has been taken from all of us that loved him so very deeply. I always cherished the time that I spent with him at his house and at family functions. He always had a smile on his face that never waned. All the times you would take us out on your boat and let us drive even as little children were truly special as you had a way about you that truly changed peoples lives.
Sometimes we had different views on how things worked in this world but I will never forget that you were always trying to teach me something new.
I always loved you Uncle Joe and I always will. You are gone from this world but will never fade from the hearts of those that loved you so deeply and without question.
I will see you again Uncle Joe of that I am certain.
God bless you Uncle Joe.

It was always a party when Uncle Joe was around. His energy, smile and positive outlook was infectious, and he had an enthusiasm that no one could match.
As a little kid I was always afraid he'd embarrass me by flipping me up in the air when I was wearing a dress, or by calling me "Melody Rose," but now I know he did those things because he loved me. As an adult, he supported me immensely. He was very positive and excited about my decision to buy a bar, and I will really miss him showing up unexpectedly on random weekend nights when I least expect it.
My favorite memories of him will be the fun times we had on the boat, at Metro Beach, up north and at holidays. He was also a huge part of my wedding reception last year. He was one of the first people on the dance floor, and he took photos with almost everyone at the party, even people he didn't know. It was the last time I remember seing him healthy.
Uncle Joe, you were a stellar guy - one of the best! My heart goes out to Molly and Rachel, Vince and Pia, and your brothers and sisters. We'll all miss you so much. We will watch over Molly and Rachel and always keep your memory alive by sharing stories about our time together.

I am glad that I was able to experience the friendship of Joe. He was the kind of guy who was always fun to watch. After St. Raymonds and Notre Dame, we went our seperate ways, but his name came up more than once while talking about the "old days" with friends.

Joe,
We've known each other all our lives. Sooo many great memories, laughs and experiences. You've been a shining light in my life, and countless others. I'll miss your smile (you handsome guy, you!), your friendship, our "fix the world" discussions and your advice (automotive, boating and otherwise). Thanks again for being my "best man", sorry it had to be twice! Opps.
I was always amazed at how quickly you made friends. You simply loved people, and they loved you. And you knew how blessed you were to have such a wonderful family.
I love you like one of my brothers, and I'll miss you dearly.
Until we meet again,
Rob

No words can express the depth of my sympathy for Molly, Rachel, Vince, Pia and the entire Caporale family. Losing Joe happened much, much too early. I will never forget Joe's infectious smile, innate charisma and friendly, easy going nature. It was a joy and a privilege to have had the opportunity to know him for so many years. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten by anyone who knew him. Joe, rest in peace knowing how many lives you have touched and how many of us there are who love you.

"Say it ain't so, Joe!" I am deeply shocked and saddened at Joe's passing. I have so many fond memories of Joe ... paper boy times, BSing on the corner of Anvil & Eastburn ... Notre Dame H.S. and Conrad Vachon laughs ... camping and skiing trips in his old black VW bug ... working on my '65 Pontiac in my dad's garage... taking Joe flying with me ... "boat partying" at Metro Beach, and still always looking for him when I ride my bike there. I have an urge to call my own father (who passed away in 1999, and who was very fond of Joe) and say "You'll never believe ...". When I stop to think about it, that's how far back Joe and I really go. I feel terrible that my work schedule is probably going to prevent me from making it to Kaul or St. Isaacs. To Joe's family: please, please accept my condolences and know that you and Joe are, and always will be, in my thoughts and prayers. Mark Emery

I remember Joe from our days at St Raymond's, and even though we went to different high schools (ND/DLS) we were still good friends. In reconnecting with him recently thru Facebook, you simply had to look at the photos he posted to tell that he had a wonderful life, and was a powerful light in the lives of others. RIP Joe, we'll see you further down the road.

Although I have only known Joe for a couple of years, I will forever cherish the fond memories we shared. Be it on a boat for those early morning rides on the lake, or our frequent chats out in the yard about life in general, I always felt better after talking to him. He just had a way about him that always seemed to shine – no matter what was going on around him. Joe was a great neighbor and friend and he will be missed dearly. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Molly, Rachel and the extended Caporale family.

My wife and I met Joe and Molly at Metro Beach Marina. Boating was a favourite past time for Joe. A return visit found us huddled up in our boat due to bad weather. Joe drove to the marina by car, and brought us to his house where we had a memorable afternoon drinking wine and enjoying the company of our new found friends - this after only knowing Joe for a short time. He will forever be a part of our lives and I will miss our early morning golf outings at the par 3 at Metro Beach. Thank-you Joe for the memories.

My daddy will be missed by people from all over the world. This just goes to show how many people he was able to reach out to and touch. We can all understand why he was so intense now, because he had a lot of life to live in such a short time. I feel cheated that I no longer have a father and that I must only think of him in my memory. His face shows up every time I close my eyes and I hope he never leaves me. My heart aches and hurts in a way I never thought I could feel. He did a wonderful job as my father and I could not have asked for a better one. I hope he feels that he was blessed with a wonderful daughter as well. I love you daddy.

I didn't know Joe, but I know his sister in law, Darlene. Because I know Darlene, I feel like I know Molly, or at least I know what it is to share that twin bond and for that reason, this news hits me with a tidal wave of sadness. Molly, I'm so sorry. Just so sorry. I often felt double blessed with being a twin and finding a loving husband. To have two loves of your life is something special, but makes losing one all the harder. Joe lived life to it's fullest and touching everyone's as he strolled along his way. We were lucky enough to be included on many boating excursions — do I dare say boating was not my most favorite activity, but I didn't want to miss out on being with Joe & Company! The last memorable boating trip I was invited on was a well orchestrated clam bake on Lake St. Clair. The months of Joe's planning and organizing paid-off. It was so Joe - the ultimate perfect day — every detail thought out, from who went on what boat to the seasoned trash can the seafood and corn-on-the-cob was roasted in. Joe was master of his domain and he shared it with all . . . thanks for the memories. My heart and love go out to Molly, Rachel, Pia, Vince, Tony, Vincie and my very special sister in-law MA.
Joe, thanks for including us in your world. We will miss you dearly . . .
