Robert Bethke Obituary

Mr. Robert Clarence Bethke of Walker, Mich., formerly of Clinton Township, Mich., born July 6, 1936 in Chicago, Ill., passed away peacefully at home from lung cancer surrounded by family. Bob was retired from Ford Motor Co., Dearborn, Mich. as a die maker leader for 44 years. Loving husband of Geraldine (Gerrie) of 55 years; loving father of Rob (Kathy) Bethke, Jenison, Mich., Dawn (Kevin) Kelsch of Broomfield, Colo., Cheryl (Patrick) Leal of Ortonville, Mich.; loving grandfather of Brielle, Brett, Brock, Julian, Joseph, Felicity and Kelly. Survived by sister Carroll (John) Furry, Bruce Bethke, Marilaine (Dan) Wiggins. Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching them play sports, enjoyed playing cards, watching the Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings. In his younger years he was an avid deer, duck and goose hunter, he also enjoyed fishing in the U.P. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 2510 Richmond Street NW, Grand Rapids Mich. 49504, Saturday December 1, 11 a.m. where he will repose one hour prior. His family will receive visitors Friday November 30 from 6-9 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance NW. 616-735-9900.
