Shirley Yax Obituary

Shirley V. Yax, age 88, formerly of Harsens Island, Mich., died May 9, 2013 in the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility. She was born September 25, 1924 in Detroit, Mich. She married George M. Yax May 13, 1944 on Harsens Island, he died December 21, 2006. Mrs. Yax is survived by her children Ronald (Karen) Yax, Sue (Mike) Buffa, and Diane (Tony) Turini; sister Barbara (Mick) Meldrum; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Ricky Yax. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday May 11, 2013 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac, Mich. Visitation Saturday 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to the family wishes.
