Wendy Berger Obituary

Wendy S. Berger, 80, passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2022 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul, her son, Jim(Trish), her granddaughters Lisette and Nicole, her great granddaughter Audrina and her great grandsons Asher and Nahlo. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a large cadre of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Orus and Catherine Smith. Wendy had a long and successful career at L'Ane Creuse Public Schools. She retired after 39 years of service at L'Anse Creuse High School, the Administration Offices, Middle School-South and the Support Services Complex. She also worked tirelessly on behalf of her fellow union members. Wendy enjoyed going north to the cabin, looking for all the animals that inhabited the woods and catching a fish or two for the frying pan. She was also known to chase "The little white ball" around golf courses In Michigan and Florida. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 1-7 p.m. and a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday, May 18 at 11 a.m. at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the L'Anse Creuse Foundation for Educational Opportunities, 24076 F.V. Pankow Boulevard, Clinton Township, MI 48036.
