Alberto Martinez was my dear uncle which I loved very much. I have lived in Califonia since arriving in the United States from Cuba. My late father Humberto Martinez was Alberto's brother & made sure I got to know his family. Almost every summer my father would fly me and at times my sister to visit for months at a time. We have great memories of the times we spent with him and his family. One of the greatest memories is working in his office and watching the love he had for his profession. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Love,

Dr. Martinez treated my parents until his retirement from private practice. He was a caring and perceptive doctor. I often accompanied my mother to his office as a teenager and in later years while he treated her for a heart condition and other ailments. He was always accessible to the family and thorough in his methods. He carried my mother through many illnesses over the years with competent care. Several years after beginning treatment of my mother in the early 1970s, he began treating my daddy. He probably saved my daddy's life by beginning treatment for Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever before the blood tests confirmed it. My daddy never really like the thought of doctors, but he had a deep respect for Dr. Martinez. My father passed away nine years ago. My mother's dementia does not allow her to express sympathy at this time of Dr. Martinez's passing, but I want the family to know that I hold fond memories of the years he cared for my parents. I have often told people that they had the best doctor in the world during those years. And he gave us the referral to Roy Deen upon his retirement.....the best possible referral to the second-best doctor in the world! My prayers are with Dr. Martinez's family at this time.
