Dear Amy, and Mary & Lauren. You already know how much I loved and respected this truly wonderful man and Marine. I was a wild kid when I joined Rockets in '49. He provided me with the shining example I needed to set my feet on the straight & narrow (well, mostly straight--and Kinslow and I needed straightness!). Lauren, I hope he got to hear your tales of the Pacific Coast Trail. He would have been so proud of you. God Bless A.W. and God Bless you all. He'll be remembered when the Marine Rocket Association meets again. Semper Fi, Marine. I'll see you "where the streets are guarded, by United States Marines!"

Was so sorry to hear about AW. Although I only got to know him through our 4.5" Rocket reunions, I felt like he had been a friend for many years. My wife, Barbara, and I would like to send our condolences to his entire family. We looked forward to having him and Dorothy, and daughter being with us and always enjoyed their company so much.

Aunt Dor & Cousins, so sorry and sad to hear the news about Uncle AW. He was a wonderful person. I often wished he was my dad. What a wonderful warm and fuzzy man he was and never raised his voice that I ever heard. Our prayers and love are with you all.

I was stationed with TechSergeant Stuckey 1n 1949 - 50 in the 4.5 Rocket Battalion, 11th Marines, Camp Pendelton, CA. He was always one of the most pleasant and cooperative people that I had, or have, ever met. I remember the old time campaign hat that he occasionally wore, you know, the one that looked like a Boy Scout Hat. I have often thought about him over the years and am very sorry to hear of his passing. I was 18 when I went to the Rockets; I am now almost 80.

Dorothy, Amy and Tom,

We all have lost a great gentleman, Marine, a all around good man of our time. (George said it is like loosing his brother -- A.W. took him under his arm in Korea -- gave him good guidance.

It was a honor for me to meet A.W. & family both in San Diego and D.C.

George has many fond memories of the times they had together both in Korea and again at the reunions.

Keeping your wonderful family in our prayers.

Dorothy, Amy and Tom.

We were very sorry to learn of your loss of your Husband and Dad. What a lovely family he had and adored all.

As you know, he will be missed a lot in the Rockets 4.5 group. As you know, all the casualties lost during the year, will be remembered at the reunion.

Joanie and I will be praying for you and your wonderful family.

God Bless.

Amy, this is April 7th. This fine Marine has been on my mind several times in the past week. I admired-still-this handsome, quiet, gentle friend since 1949. Served with him two or three times after that. He was always my hero, and all of us loved him. I was remembering him--and you- at our reunion in San Diego several years ago. We are having a reunion there again in September, and you can be sure we will salute him there. As I salute him today.

God WILL bless this good man and friend.

Semper Fi, A.W.

It is hard to accept that Stuckey has passed away, but it happens to everyone sooner or later. I have so many fond memories of SGT STUCKEY. In My opinion, he was one of the GREATEST Marines I knew. I have read the name STUCKEY on many signs along the freeways and each sign is not of SGT STUCKEY, but it still brought back warm feeling and memories. I wish there were some way I could help ease the burden this has caused his family and loved ones NATION WIDE, but the only thing I can think of is JUST GOD BLESS SGT STUCKEY in the Place he is now, which has to be in HEAVEN. Now he in on DUTY as one of the MANY MARINES that are guarding the Streets of Heaven, and he is probably Sgt of the GUARD, answering directly to GOD Himself!!! May GOD ALSO BLESS ALL OF HIS FAMILY AND LOVED ONES!!!
