Alana Land Obituary

Gray, GA- Alana Blair Land, 11, of Estelle Drive, died Sunday, October 20, 2013, with her family by her side. The family will greet friends from 5:00 - 8:00pm, Wednesday at Gray United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Gray United Methodist Church, with burial following at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray. Rev. Jason Wade will officiate the services.
Miss Land was born in Macon on February 27, 2002, and had lived her entire life in Gray. She was the daughter of Terrell Wesley Land and Patricia Darlene Bunting. Miss Land was in the Sixth Grade at Gray Station Middle School and enjoyed running cross country and barrel racing. In addition to her school activities, she was a member of Gray United Methodist Church. Miss Land was preceded in death by a grandmother: Linda Dover.
Miss Land leaves behind her parents: Wesley and Patty Land; sisters: Autumn Land and Ana-Marie Land; grandparents: Peggy and Terry Land and Jim Dover; and several aunts, uncles and cousins
In lieu of flowers, the Alana Land Memorial Fund has been established at Morris State Bank, 110 Bill Conn Parkway, Gray, Georgia 31032.
The family may be contacted at the residence at 174 Estelle Drive in Gray.
Bridges Funeral Home and Crematory in Gray has charge of arrangements. Please visit the online memorial at: www.bridgesfh.com.

Wesley and Peggy (and family), I am so sorry for your loss of your precious daughter and granddaughter. I cannot even begin to imagine how you feel. I do know God is your only answer in dealing with this loss. We spent many years at the ballpark with Wesley and Blake - all fond memories. Alana was so sweet, funny, kind, outstanding, beautiful, smart, and always smiling. i was best friends with Alana in k-2nd grade then i had to move schools so i didn't get to see her until i went to gray station. Alana has touched the heart of everyone. she has inspired me to run cross country next year. she has also inspired mr.massengale to start running he had a pair of tennis shoes and he wrote ABL on it. you lall are in our hearts and prayers. i love you Alana blair land. you are always in my heart

I remember Alana as a funny, loving, and special little girl. I taught her reading at Gray Elementary in second grade. She always was happy and was ready to do her best each day. I enjoyed getting to know her. She made me laugh.
When I would see Alana in town, usually at Ingles, she would run up and give me a huge hug. I will always remember her this way.

I remember Alana as a special, loving, and adorable little second grader. She was in my second grade reading class at Gray Elementary. She was so smart and funny. When I would see her in town, she would always give me a great big hug. I will always remember her this way.
