Fayetteville, NC- Graveside Services for Reverend Alfred Holston are 11:00A.M., Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Public viewing will be Friday, 1PM-5PM.
His memory will continue to be cherished by family, friends, church family, former co-workers and all lives that were touched by his unselfish and Godly spirit to include: his daughter, Shantel Holston of Macon, GA; sister, Earnestine (Paul) Jones of Lizella, GA; brothers, Joe (Anna) Holston, Copperas Cove of Texas and Oliver (Ameli) Holston of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Inez Holston of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends.

It was truly a honor knowing and having Pastor Holston here in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I considered him as my brother and he was one of my closest friends. I drove out of town with him, I prayed and I have even cried with him, so he will be a missing link in chain from this day on. I loved him dearly and I know he loved me, and we will see each other in heaven because we promised that to each other. God bless the family and our condolences to you all. To the Holston Family,
My sincere condolences goes out to you for the passing of our dearly beloved Rev. Alfred Holston. A very "gentle giant" was Bro. Alfred! We developed a very special relationship that spanned over a decade, as his daughter, Shantel (the constant light in his eyes), is also the niece of my beloved wife, Judy Smith. I could always expect an encouraging thought and a closing prayer from Bro. Alfred. I will miss our phone conversations and visits when he came home to Macon. Those of us who knew and loved this man of God, can't help but be a better person having known him. What I quickly learned about Bro. Alfred was his passionate love of God, family, and friends (in that order). We both have one daughter each and we would laugh about how we would do anything for them. He truly loved his Shanie! The last time we spoke on the phone, he prayed just before we would end the call. I feel that this would be Bro. Alfred's ending prayer: "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."-Isaiah 40:31 Rest In Peace my friend and brother in Christ.

I work at Kelly's Cleaners and Mr. Holston was one of my favorite customers. Even though I only knew him for a short time he was such a sweet man who I know loved the Lord. I pray for your family at this time. I am very sorry for your loss.

To the Holston Family,
Please accept our condolences. We met Reverend Holsten in the 1980s when he traveled with our former Pastor, the Reverend Samuel McDonald. He was always a friend of the Hayes family and was loved by all of Garland First Baptist Church. Thank you for sharing him with our community, our thoughts and prayer are with your family.
