Alma Echols Obituary

Alma Echols -MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Alma Hawthorne Echols, 94, will be 3P.M., Saturday, November 9 in Cooperville Baptist Church with interment in Cooperville Baptist Church Cemetery. -Mrs. Echols was a native of Macon, GA and was the daughter of the late James Robert Hawthorne and the late Roberta Mathis Hawthorne. Mrs. Echols moved to Milledgeville in 1960, where she became a member of and the pianist for Cooperville Baptist Church. Mrs. Echols was the widow of Dayton D. Echols and had lived in Panama City, FL since 1991. -Survivors include one son, William D. Echols of Panama City, FL; two grandsons: Michael Echols and wife Sheri of Magnolia, AR and David Echols and wife Cynthia of Montgomery, AL; several nieces and nephews; three step-grand-children; three great-grand-children; five step-great-grandchildren. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity. -Williams White Columns Funeral Home of Milledgeville in charge of arrangements.
