Andrew Tolliver Obituary

Andrew Gilbert Tolliver -MACON - Andrew Gilbert Tolliver passed away March 9, 2010. Memorial services Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 5P.M. in the chapel of Bentley & Sons Funeral Home. -Andrew Gilbert Tolliver was born February 12, 1942 in Macon, Georgia, the youngest of eleven children to the late Daniel Lawson and Fannie Gainey Tolliver. He was preceded in death by three of his siblings, Doris T. Glawson, Daniel L. Tolliver and Ida Bell T. Payton. He attended the public schools of Bibb County. Andrew joined Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at a very early age, and after he moved to Atlanta, he continued to attend other churches. He retired from Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta, Georgia in 2005. -Andrew is survived by seven siblings, Mrs. Minnie T. Dumas (Macon, GA); Mrs. Frances T. Griffin (Cleveland, OH); Mrs. Merdis T. Howard (Highland Park, MI); Mr. Joseph W. Tolliver (Avon Park, FL); Mrs. Mae T. Brown (Cleveland, OH); Mr. Robert E. Tolliver (Highland Park, MI); Mrs. Barbara T. (Joseph) Rodgers (Macon, GA); a sister-in-law, Mrs. Odessa Tolliver (Macon, GA); a goddaughter, Danica Rhoden, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He had two special friends, Dr. E. Paulette Issac Savage and Mrs. Yolanda Rhoden. -The family may be contacted at the home of Rev. Joseph and Barbara Rodgers, 2055 Forest Hill Road, Macon, Georgia. -Services entrusted to Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Macon. Andrew Tolliver
