Benjamin Eugene Hatcher, Jr. -MACON, GA - Benjamin Eugene Hatcher, Jr., age 87, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21 at 2P.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Flowers are accepted but memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, 3780 Eisenhower Parkway #2, Macon, GA 31206. -Mr. Hatcher was born in 1921 to the late Benjamin Eugene Hatcher, Sr. and Rochelle Elrod Hatcher. He retired from Norfolk-Southern after 38 years of service. Mr. Hatcher was of the Baptist faith. -Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Agnes Hatcher of Macon; a son Ben and a daughter Betty Jane; two sisters, Jane Hatcher of Augusta, GA and Katherine MacComber of Los Altos, CA; a brother, Frank Hatcher of Marietta, GA and several nieces and nephews. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of the arrangements.
