Jeffrey Scott Hatcher, 62, of Prince George, Virginia passed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born in Hopewell, Virginia on February 14, 1964, he was the son of William J. Hatcher, and the late Mary Josephine (Lilly) Hatcher. He is preceded by his mother Mary Hatcher, and Theresa E. Hatcher.
Scott’s love for his family came first. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and time spent on his farm in Prince George and West Virginia. He loved spending time in his greenhouse and in his shop. He was always working on something. Scott was a 1982 graduate of Prince George High School. He held several management positions with Lowes before retiring early and becoming self-employed. Scott was a gentle giant that would give you the shirt off his back. He touched many lives and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
Scott is survived by his father, William J. Hatcher, of West Virginia; his wife, Tamara Hatcher, of Prince George; his “Older Sister”, Sherri H. Smith (Bruce), of Prince George; sons, Matt Fleshman (Cindy), of Prince George, Mark Fleshman (Leigh), of Prince George, and Hunter Hatcher, of Prince George; grandchildren, Pierson, Bryson, Caroline, Grayson, and Auggie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that he thought so much of.
Until we meet again…
