Bentley Williams Obituary

Bentley L. Williams -SPRINGFIELD, VA-Bentley L. Williams, 95, passed away August 19, 2002 at a local hospital in Springfield, VA. Graveside services will be held at 11A.M., Friday in the Mausoleum Chapel at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. -Mr. Williams was born in Wilkinson County, GA. After serving in the Army, he became a businessman in McRae and Broxton, GA. In 1942, he moved to Macon where he began his 38 years of Federal Career Service with Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church. He was married to Annie L. Williams for 76 years. He was preceded in death by a son Edward L. Williams. -Survivors include his wife, Annie L. Williams; son, Billy B. Williams, Springfield, VA; grandsons, Jeffrey B. Williams, Fort Valley, and Randell E. Williams, Athens; three great-grandchildren; brothers, I.Z. Dykes and W.E. Dykes, Bay City TX; several nieces and nephews. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
