Betty J. Foster

December 18, 1947 - June 7, 2024

Baker, Florida - Betty J. Foster, of Baker, Florida (formerly of Macon, GA), 76, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, after a short illness. Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron, GA and funeral at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway in Milledgeville, GA. Pastor Benjamin Newberry of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate the services.

Born in Centreville, Alabama, to the late Dorsey (Shorty) Pitts and Josephine Cobb Pitts. Mrs. Foster was a 1966 graduate of Bibb County High School. She was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and retired Civil Service employee from Robins AFB, GA. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Macon, GA.

Mrs. Foster is preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Foster, grandson, John Tyler Foster, mother and father, and brother Eugene Pitts.

She is survived by her two sons, John Daniel (Vicki) Foster, of Baker, FL and Kyle E. Foster of Baker, FL, grandchildren, John Patrick (JP), Victoria (Tori), Jessica, Stephani and great grandson, John Preston, brothers, Hughey (Myra) Pitts, of Garland, TX, Terry (Teresa) Pitts of Selma, AL and Eright Pitts of Wetumpka, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rooks Funeral Home in Byron GA will handle the arrangements.
