Calvin Parker Obituary

Calvin Coolidge Parker 87, of Waco, passed away at a local nursing home Monday, Oct. 31, 2011. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Arnett officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr.

Calvin was born April 2, 1924, in Falls County, to Donald and Lizzie Parker. He retired from Universal Atlas Cement plant, owned T's Skateland, and also built homes.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Parker; nephew,David Middleton and wife, Gina; and many nieces and nephews.

I have known calvin since I was 8 years old. He was one of the best men I will ever know. I will miss you my friend asnd all the good times we had and all you tought me. Ill be thinking about you every trip to the deer lease my ole hunting buddy

We have known Calvin and his family for years. I remember skating at T's Skateland when I was a young girl. I will always remember Calvin's kindness toward Dorothea at Brookshire Brothers in Lorena.
