Christopher C. Ramsey III -SWAINSBORO-Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Christopher C. Ramsey III, age 65, of Swainsboro, GA, who died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at his residence. -Memorial services will be Monday, January 5, 2009 at 2P.M. in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Sonia Clifton and Rev. Ron Sutherland officiating. -The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Sunday evening, January 4, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. -Interment will be in the Ramsey, Groover Cemetery in Quitman, GA on Saturday, January 10, 2009. The time will be announced later. -Mr. Ramsey was a native of Brooks County and retired from Allstate Insurance and Owen Claim Service as a property claims manager. He was a member of the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his father, C. C. Ramsey Jr. -Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Sloan Ramsey of Swainsboro, GA; his mother, Eva Ramsey of Houston, TX; two sons and one daughter-in-law, MSgt. Franklin and Amanda Ramsey of Sumter, SC and Charles Ramsey of Atlanta, GA; two step daughters and step son-in-law, Sloan and Steele Knudson and Taylor Edenfield, all of Swainsboro, GA; one sister, Patricia Blane of Houston, TX; one grandson, Cooper Ramsey of Sumter, SC; one step-grandson, Thatcher Knudson of Swainsboro, GA; one niece, Mary Jane Trotter of Katie, TX. -Condolences may be submitted online at www.durden-hudsonfuneraldirectors.com -Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Christopher Ramsey of Swainsboro, GA 30401.
