Bonaire, GA- Clare M. Christian passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 3:00PM in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Clare was born on August 30, 1939 in upstate New York to the late Emil and Olive Krauer. She was a hard worker with excellent work ethic. Clare was compassionate, unconditionally loving, and always put others first. She was a wonderful mother, a loving grandmother, and a matriarch of the family who will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, Clare is preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Christian, Jr., her daughter Tammy Williams, and granddaughter Christy Hester.
She is survived by her daughters Dora King (Scott) and Lora Wise both of Savannah; one son, Raymond Christian of Statesboro; daughter, Jeannie Williamson (Danny) of Bonaire; son-in-law Warren Williams of Byron; Six grandchildren, April, Marcia, Erin, Scott, Cliff, and Mandy; and several great and great great grandchildren.

We're so sad to just hear of the passing of sweet Ms. Clare. She was a wonderful neighbor for several yrs and we loved hearing her stories of when she lived in NY. We loved to talk about our flowers and yard work and things going in the culdesac. She was a dear lady and friend to us and she will be greatly missed! To her sweet family (especially Jeannie), we will be praying for you and are here if you need us. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you and comfort you.

Although it has been years since I have seen Clare, I will always remember her beautiful smile and the sound of her laugh. She was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Jeannie and Raymond, you and your family are in my thoughts as you go through this difficult time.

Clare was a wonderful person, so full of joy and fun. She was a great friend to many. I will remember her humor. I am so sorry for your loss Marcia and know that Clare is no longer suffering and has left you many wonderful memories and traditions.
