College Park, Georgia - It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Daniel Alan "Danny" Perry, 65 of Atlanta, GA after an extended illness. He was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus and his loving parents, the late Charles F. and Margaret B. Perry.
Danny was born and raised in Macon GA and graduated from Central High School. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a faithful Christian and servant of our Lord Jesus. A Carpenter by trade, he worked all over the Middle Georgia area until his health declined. He was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs and kept up with the Mercer Bear baseball team where he and Randy both played during college. Danny grew up playing baseball and was considered as one of the best catchers in the little league when he played at Cross Keys Little League for their #1 team, Colts, coached by Gene Pollard and Charles Perry, his father. He loved to golf and was the inventor of the Clearline Putter. He had a talent for playing the Guitar and singing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. & Margaret B. Perry; paternal grandparents, William Hill Perry and Lois NeSmith Perry Cox; maternal grandparents, Emmett Franklin Baker and Annie Ruth Noblitt Holton.
He is survived by his son, Matthew D. Perry (Joseph) of Warner Robins, GA; sister, Donna Sue Perry Ellison (Clint) of Atlanta, GA; brother, Chaplain MAJ (Ret) Charles R. "Randy" Perry (Brigitte) of Macon, GA; nieces and nephews, Trey Franks (Nida), Tara Franks Newcomb (Aimee), Somer Etheredge, Aaron Reynolds, Adriana Perry and Alex Perry (Kimberly); aunts, Cyndi Worthington (Mitt), Brenda Gibbs, Sharon Mallory, Nancy Baker, Andrea Hooper (Art); uncles, Tommy Perry (Betty), Gene Cox (Sandy) and William Cox; many cousins and other relatives; faithful friends, Clint Moore, Brian Sewell, Don Erickson, Gary Flynn, Mark & Jenny Leaptrot, Chad NeSmith, John Moriah and David Edwards, Sr.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Dr, McDonough, GA 30253 for their loving care. In lieu of flowers we ask donations be made to Sacred Journey Hospice in the name and memory of Daniel A. Perry.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetary, 2617 Vinson Hwy, Milledgeville, GA 31061 with his brother, Randy Perry officiating.

Sorry to learn of Danny passing .I know He will be missed by his Family and Friends .We worked on the same job in 1978 for Arthur Pugh Construction and man did we have some good times and fun that year none of us had a worry in the world . Enjoy Heaven hope they had that Old Sportster fixed when you got their.

Uncle Danny, I've struggled finding the words to explain that "you went to be with Jesus" to our Ayla bug. She is sure going to miss you. Watch over our precious girl for me and give my daddy a hug and ask him to help you keep an eye on this feisty girl. We love you. Rest easy, we've got it from here. PS I'll continue to give my mama a hard time for you.

My sincere condolences and prayers for the family of Daniel Perry who I´ve had the privilege of knowing through my younger years with this family and so many friends. Daniel was a kind thoughtful person and a joy to be around . Though our hearts are broken he´s with the lord now, it was his time . So very sorry for his passing .
