David E. Avant -MILLEDGEVILLE - David E. Avant, 41, of Milledgeville died Monday, December 2, 2002. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, December 5, 2002 at Riverside Cemetery (main gate). Dr. Billy Oliver and Mr. Dale Myers will be officiating. The family may be contacted at 141 Covington Court, the residence of Charles and JoAnn Avant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity. -Mr. Avant attended Mt. de Sales Academy and graduated from Central High High School and Georgia College and State University. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Mr. Avant was the cardiovascular lab coordinator at Oconee Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Avant. -Mr. Avant is survived by his children, Anna Avant and David Avant, Jr., both of Milledgeville; parents, Charles and JoAnn Avant of Macon; brother, Jeff L. Avant of Macon; two step children, Allison Harrison and Joey Harrison, both of Milledgeville; and five nieces and nephews. -Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
