David Blanton Obituary
September, 25,1954 - December 27,2018
Gray , Georgia- David Lee Blanton, 64, of Gray GA, passed away on December 27, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Bradley Baptist Church, 821 Highway 11, Gray GA at 12:00 PM. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:30 at the church. Interment will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgville, Georgia.
David was the son of Eloise Blanton and the late Ernie Blanton. He was a proud veteran and served in the Army during Vietnam. David was a Patriot Guard Rider who served as the State Captain.
David is survived by his wife, Jackie Blanton; son, David (Stacey) Blanton; grandchildren, Daisy, Dallas and David Barrett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wreaths Across America, to the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia by visiting www.http://donate.wreathsacrossamerica.org

Jackie, I was saddened to learn of Davids death. Since Im now retired from MS I didnt know he was sick or had passed away until last Friday. It was a complete shock.Not only was David a great employee, but I considered him a dear friend. He will be sorely missed. My sympathy and condolences go out to you and your son. Sorry I couldnt make the funeral but already had plans to be out of town for New Years. My thoughts and prayers will be with you today

David was a dedicated employee of my former law firm for many years. He was also a true patriot of our Nation and an honorable Veteran who unselfishly donated a lot of time to honor our veterans by being a Patriot Guard Rider serving as State Captain. I will always remember coming to the office and seeing his motorcycle decorated and flying flags when he was to be a Guard Rider that day.
