In a twinkling of an instance A dream comes to an end
The winds of change presented Coming round the bend

And so your world is shattered A breaking of your heart
The fabric of your being So quickly ripped apart

It's all that you imagined In all your wildest dreams
The emptiness surrounds you With pain or so it seems

But this is not the ending For strength lives on through will
My love is always with you And I am with you still

Tom & Family,
Debbie was such a wonderful person and will be missed by many; however, her strength will continue to be a inspiration for those who knew and loved her for eternity. May god be with all that loved her & have the pure pleasure of knowing her during this difficult time.

It was a pleasure working with Debbie who was such a sweet, pleasant, and compassionate person. I pray that you trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding why God took her home at this time. I pray that you acknowledge the Father and he will direct your path. May you be comforted in the beautiful memories of Debbie.

March 24, 2010

Dearest Debbie,
Only now can you fully see how truly loved you are by so many people. Your kind and gentle spirit has shone brightly your entire life, yet your strength has inspired us all as you fought your illness with optimism and the courage of a great warrior. With your giving nature and joyful heart, you are as close to an angel as anyone I’ve ever known. You have spent a lifetime earning each feather on your wings, and I know you must be in heaven right now, if any of us will ever have a chance.
I know how proud you are of your children and how much you loved them. I remember the moments that touched your heart when the kids wrote essays in school about how you were their hero during your bout with breast cancer. To watch Will and Alison care for you during the past few weeks, was to see how much of you there is in each of them – to witness that same balance of kindness and strength is to know that you will live on through them in a legacy of love.
I know how much you love your soul mate, Tom. You couldn’t even say his name without a smile on your face and a twinkle in your eye. True love is a precious miracle the two of you will always have. We promise you we will do everything we can to love and support Tom, though a million friends will never be able to replace you.
Goodbye, sweet Debbie. You have been an inspiration to us all, your life a brilliant example of faith and sincerity. Suffering no more, hand-in-hand with your daddy and in the presence of Almighty God – we celebrate your life and give thanks for the honor of knowing you. We love you and will miss you greatly.

With Deepest Sympathy,

The Rose Beyond the Wall

A rose once grew where all could see,

sheltered beside a garden wall,

And, as the days passed swiftly by,

It spread its branches, straight and tall ...

One day, a beam of light shone through

a crevice that had opened wide ~

The rose bent gently toward its warmth

then passed beyond to the other side ...

Now, you who deeply feel its loss,

be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~

Its beauty even greater now,

nurtured by God's own loving care.
