Dennis Garrett Obituary
1/13/1955 - 10/9/2016
Hawkinsville, GA- Funeral services for Dennis Ray Garrett, 61, of Hawkinsville, who died on Sunday, October 9, 2016, in the Medical Center of Central Georgia will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Garrett was born in Ft. Campbell, KY, son of the late Ray and Imogene Graham Garrett. He had lived in Cochran most of his life and was currently a resident of Hawkinsville. A graduate of Cochran High School Class of 1973, he attended Central Georgia Technical College and was a retired machinist/fabricator. He was a former member of Southside Baptist Church in Cochran and was a member of Broadstreet Baptist Church in Hawkinsville. Mr. Garrett was a Mason.
He is survived by his daughter, Breanna Garrett of Swainsboro; brother, Larry (Lynn) Garrett of Hawkinsville; niece, Ashley (Jay) Porter of Hawkinsville; nephew, David (Rachel) Garrett of Bishop and his former wife, Eva Jane Garrett of Cochran.
The family will meet friends Monday night at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Garrett, Sandy Springs Circle, Hawkinsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 95, Cochran, Ga. 31014.
Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
