Macon, Georgia - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Desmond "Boot" Wright. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home located at 3275 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31206. Reverend Marcus Cuyler Sr. will officiate. Interment Services will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery located at 7331 Bethel Church Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052. He leaves to cherish his memories, devoted wife, Shamika Wright; five loving children; Datarius Williams, Desjzon Wright, Desmond Wright, Destiny Wright & Jarkiria Ryans; loving mother, Glenda Wright; two loving siblings; Bobby (LaShunya) Wright Jr., & Moranda Wright and a host of other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held today, Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home. The family is requesting everyone to please wear a face mask and follow CDC guidelines. Richard R. Robinson has charge of the arrangements.

Boot was the sweetest person you could ever meet! He always looked after me during our childhood and teenage days. We walked to and from school together almost everyday. We would play the Atari game throughout the midnight hours. “Good Times” He was my favorite! My prayers go out to his wife, kids, mom, sister and brother. I love you now and forever Boot! God knows best. Until me meet again. RIP ♥♥
