Edward was born in Macon, Georgia to the late William P. and Edna Lorena Rankin Whitten and was preceded in death by his brother, William R. (Dot) Whitten; sister-in-law, Mildred (Buford) Newell. He attended Fort Hawkins grammar school and graduated from Lanier High School for Boys. After graduation, he joined the Navy, stationed at Pensacola, Florida for three years. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Ed served as a bailiff during my employment with the Bibb Superior Court Judges and was a true Southern Gentleman. He will be missed.
