Eugene Bowden Obituary
Aug. 17, 1934 - Nov. 13, 2014
Warner Robins, GA- Eugene Harris Bowden, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with entombment in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6PM until 8PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bowden was born in Pelham, GA. He was the son of the late Emmett &Bessie Lee (Yancey) Bowden. He was veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired aircraft mechanic from Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Bowden was a longtime member of the Warner Robins Umpire Association and loved to travel and fish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Laverne T. Bowden of Warner Robins, sons Eugene H. (Emily) Bowden, Jr. of Warner Robins, Gregory K. (Kim) Bowden of Macon, daughter Ginger B. Jackson of Warner Robins, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and one sister Betty Thigpen of Ivey, GA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088.
