Macon, Georgia - Funeral Services for Evelyn Nelson will be held 11 AM Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Services will follow at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson, 74, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Survivors include her children, Tammy (Tony) King, Vidal (Tamekia) Nelson and Natasha (Terry) Butler; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 3 until 4 p.m.
Jones Brothers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

My sincere love and condolences to Tammy, Vidal, NeNe and loving family members of Mrs. Evelyn. As you all know, your mother was a pure joy. I will always remember her kindness to me and my children. During the times I was in her presence, she treated me as if I was one of her own, not just a friend of her daughter. As weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love she placed inside each one of you. You will continue to be in my prayers.
